SAUDADE

Minha alma sofre
De saudade
Da lembrança do
Tempo feliz
Quando era bastante
Ver o reflexo
Da “alegria de viver”
Nos olhos dos meus queridos.
Os raios de entusiasmo
São agora apagados
Por causa da
Monotonia cotidiana
E vortices de energia
Se atrasam pelas cargas
Das tristezas pesadas.

EL ARCO IRIS

Oye el ruido de la lluvia
Y alégrate
Porque después del nubarrón
Vendrá el arco iris
Así que no te pongas triste
Porque después de mucha lluvia
En tu vida
El sol secará tus lágrimas

LA ROCCIA

Quando il piede scivola
sull`incerto sentiero della vita
aggrappiamoci
......alla roccia della fede
per non cadere .

LA PAUSA

Vorrei fermare il tempo
mettere una pausa nella mia vita
per darmi spazio per pensare.
...Troppo veloci rotolano le ore
che si susseguono con
un alternarsi di gioie e di dolori.

Vorrei spezzare la catena
che ci intrappola
in un mondo di illusioni e
guardarmi vivere
dall`alto di una vetta
per ridimensionare
l`effimera realta` terrena.

THE FISH

I saw a fish wearing a hat.
And where did you see that?

I saw him swimming in the sea
while I was sipping my cup of tea.

I waived at him and he waived back
and in doing so he lost his hat!

EMPTY SHELLS ON A BEACH

Feelings are the reflection of one`s soul.

They can be as calm as the water of a lake.
They can be tempestuous like a stormy sea.
They can be distant and cold
like snowy mountais.
They can slice hearts like sharp knives
or they can be soothing like a healing balm.
What would we be without them?
Empty shells on a beach.

...ALMA LINDA...

I wished upon so many stars
yet my wishes have not come true.
What have you wished for?
A voice asks from afar.
I wished for peace
in this world in turmoil
`cos of money, nuclear powers and black oil.
And for what else? the voice continues.
I wished for my dear ones
to have health, wealth, honesty and a
purpose -filled future
and for the people I know
and the ones I know not
who are part of the human race
to understand and tolerate each other
and for animals and plants
to be spared extinction
and for our planet to survive
for billions of more years,
"And for you?" the voice whispers while fading away.
"What have you asked for?"
"I lost count of how many things
would make me happier than I am,
Perharps I had at least one wish which came true:
my soul is clean, my conscience clear,
my being adapts to any situation
and I'm able to take everything in my stride
with strength and with a smile,"
The voice sound distant now, I can barely hear:
"Contentment," it says, " That's all it takes to have a happy life."
